Business 1st Responders - New Strategy For New Season
Show Notes

Business 1st Responders Suzanne Johns and Co-Hosts Jay Maymi, Jake Jordan, and Conrad Arrambide III talk new strategy for a new season during Covid recovery. Powerful insights in banking, marketing, sales, and mindset, continue to pour out over local DFW businesses through this engaging podcast.

How is your 'head trash'? Jay reminds us to take a personal inventory to prepare ourselves for engagement with the marketplace. People still wrestle with fear, it's our natural reaction to events out of our control. Be patient with your growth. You'll continue to improve if you keep your expectations realistic. Focus on 1 or 2 things that can really make a difference for the marketplace.

Conrad advises us to take an assessment of our financial statements. Where were you before pre-covid, where are you now, and what will you need to do to increase sales? Put a number on it. You may need funding. The SBA is still lending through September 27, 2020, and some loans don't require repayment during the first 6 months.

Consider how you want to reach the marketplace over the next 30-45 days. Jake talks about using marketing tools to reach them with critical information that they need - for the 'right now'. That may not be what you think it is, so listen to the marketplace. What are they looking for the most? Make sure you're focusing on their greatest need.

Most businesses are on 'survival mode'. Suzanne reminds us to consider the situation your customers are going through. Make sure to stock up on that they need. Check with suppliers about any surplus, and find out what is getting phased out. This will help you be the one they keep coming back to.

Don't ignore the power of an email and text list so you can notify people when trucks are delivering. Set up certain times and accommodations for seniors, and post it on your doors and website.
