Get inspired as the Business 1st Responders discuss the new 'next' with Osundu Thambo, founder of Thambo Fitness. Suzanne Johns, Jay Maymi, Jake Jordan talk with Osundu about the success of his martial arts training in spite of the Covid impact in New York.
Without the advantage of touch, how was he going to teach kinetics awareness, necessary for such an intense training?
Osundu wasn't sure at first what he would do. As it turned out, his clients believed they could work his training through Zoom. One boxer got in better shape. One client, a psychotherapist, was able to improve balance, working on gun disarms.
What has he learned?
"The level of adversity equals exponential success on the other side." ~ Osundu Thambo
The question became, "How do clients get through adversity?" He had to meditate and thoroughly consider how his client base finds value in his services.
"Imagine 100 years ago with Spanish Flu. We have the advantage of the internet. Actually, we're kind of soft. We need to harness the ability to deal with adversity."
If Osundu hadn't been willing to think fast on his feet, it would have been a different story. His clients still needed him.
