Business 1st Responders Suzanne Johns, Jay Maymi, and Jake Jordan encourage you "if you've got it, flaunt it!" Don't let it scare you, but you're going to have to be bold in the marketplace today. Now is the time to be real, and stand out from the crowd.

How are you going to do that?

1. Set your intentions, and be transparent. Be prepared to blow it, and if you do, don't hide it. People are watching for leadership right now, and you get to help them get comfortable taking risks. Your customers will understand it, they'll appreciate your willingness to set yourself apart.

If you're playing it safe and overly concerned about public opinion, you'll miss the excitement that surrounds a bold move. You can't be afraid to try something or be ridiculed. Forget about having a box.

It's not about being an idiot. But be YOU at as high a volume as you can, and that's enough. Your true values and opinions will attract the customers you want to do business with. 

2. Put together a path or itinerary to determine how to get there. If you don't know, let your customers know you're going to try. They may even try to help you do it!

Jay Maymi talks about a client who combined his CPA company with his love of comedy. He didn't do it to try to develop another career, but to capture interest and grow his accounting business. It was a great hit and increased his business by 25%!

Another started a podcast. It was a bold move that would scare most, but he went for it and it grew his brand. 

Listening to your customers can give you an idea of where to go. Let them know the player hasn't changed, the game has. 

Jake Jordan talks about his pediatritian who played guitar, and became known as the 'Rock Doctor'. People overthink bold; it's really just an authentic, stronger, more heart-felt approach to the marketplace.
